Text-based Query Results page

This topic provides a brief overview of the functionality of the web page displaying the results of natural language queries.

The results page

The results from a query formulated with the text-based interface of the Semantic Search Engine are displayed in a new web page. A screenshot of this web page displaying the results of a query searching for objects of groups and simulation models is shown below:

In this page you can see the associations that exist between the concepts mentioned in the query text. These are also called triples (see topic Introduction to Ontologies). Depending on the query, the results may also be displayed in the format of the page showing the results of graphical queries. This happens when the query engine identifies only concepts in the query but not any associations between them.

You can also view the query you submitted and compare the concepts defined in the query with the associations that the query engine has identified.

Following links in the page

As with the results page of the graphical interface you can click on each of the displayed objects to get more details on the results. After clicking on one of the displayed links you get the following picture.

Much like in the graphical queries results page, you can continue following the various links presented in the page to explore the various associations of the objects presented in the page.
